Private shopping tours in Bologna: formats and prices

Two itineraries, priced for a private, unhurried experience. Purchases, lunch and the hairdresser are always excluded.

How every tour works

  1. The questionnaire

Who you are, where you are from, how many of you are coming, what you are looking for, the brands and pieces you have in mind and your shopping budget.

  2. Your route

I prepare the itinerary from your answers and, when needed, book appointments at the boutiques in Galleria Cavour.

  3. We meet

At the time we agree, at your hotel if you are staying in the centre, or at a meeting point in the centre.

  4. In the fitting room

I am at your side and explain why a cut, a colour or a fabric works for you.

Half day

Duration
3 hours, one block
Group
1 or 2 people
Price
€450 for one or two people

Three hours, one block, for one or two people.

Before the tour you receive a short questionnaire by email: who you are, where you are from, how many of you are coming, what you are looking for (luxury, vintage or local addresses), which brands and pieces interest you, and the budget you want to set aside for shopping. With this information I prepare your route and, if needed, book appointments at the boutiques in Galleria Cavour.

We meet at the time we agree, at your hotel if you are staying in the centre, or at a meeting point in the centre. Based on what you have told me, we visit boutiques by appointment, the vintage shops I know, or an address tied to Bolognese tradition, a perfumery for example. In the fitting room I explain why a cut, a colour or a fabric flatters you.

Included

  • The questionnaire
  • Preparation of your route and boutique appointments where needed
  • Three hours with me

Not included

Purchases, lunch and the hairdresser.

Good to know

The half day is the format of the styling session for travellers, and it works for a short luxury shopping tour too.

Full day

Hours
10:00 to 18:00, with a two-hour lunch break
Time with me
6 hours
Group
1 to 4 people
Price
€750 for one person

Same questionnaire, same preparation, more time in the shops.

We decide the meeting point together. If your hotel is in the centre, I come and collect you there.

  1. We start. Luxury boutiques by appointment, vintage, or a traditional address. In the fitting room I am at your side.
  2. Lunch break, two hours, on your own. I prepare a list of restaurants on request.
  3. We start again until 18:00. We complete pieces and accessories and build combinations you can recreate at home.

That is six hours with me, not a ten-hour marathon. The price covers the questionnaire, the preparation of your route and the day itself.

Full day prices
One person€750
Couple€950
Three people€1,150
Four people€1,350

I do not take more than four people: beyond that, nobody gets proper attention in the fitting room.

Hairdresser appointment

If you book at least three weeks ahead, I can arrange an appointment at the hairdresser during the full day. You pay for the cut at the salon; the coordination is a €90 supplement.

Not included

Purchases, lunch and the hairdresser.

What does not change

The price does not depend on how much you spend in the shops. It is not a commission on your purchases.

If you are entitled to it, ask for tax-free at the till, with your passport, before you pay. It only applies when you spend more than €70 in the same shop, and the receipt is then validated at customs when you leave the EU. It does not apply to the tour fee.

Frequently asked questions

Are the tours in English?

Yes. All tours are available in English and Italian.

Do I have to buy anything?

No. There is no minimum spend, and the price of the tour does not depend on what you buy.

Is the fee a commission on my purchases?

No. The fee is fixed and covers the questionnaire, the preparation of your route and the time with me. It is the same whether you spend a little or a lot.

What budget do I need for shopping?

You tell me in the questionnaire. I plan the route around that budget, whether you are looking at luxury boutiques, vintage or local addresses.

Can non-EU visitors shop tax-free?

If you are entitled to it, ask for tax-free at the till, with your passport, before you pay. It only applies when you spend more than €70 in the same shop, and the receipt is then validated at customs when you leave the EU. It does not apply to the tour fee.

What if it rains?

Bologna is one of the best rainy-day shopping cities in Europe. Its porticoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021, cover around 62 km of covered walkways, so you can shop comfortably in any weather.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to three weeks ahead is ideal, especially in spring and autumn, and at least three weeks if you want a hairdresser appointment during the full day. Last-minute requests are welcome when the calendar allows.

Can I book for a group?

The half day is for one or two people. The full day takes up to four: €950 for a couple and €200 for each third and fourth person. I do not take more than four, because beyond that nobody gets proper attention in the fitting room.

Can I book a tour as a gift?

Yes. Write to me with the details and I will prepare it with you.

Not sure which format is right for you?

Book a free 30-minute call. I will listen to what you need and suggest the best option.
